WorkDaddy for Shopify
Connect a Shopify store and the agents get what they need to do real work: the catalogue, the theme, the order history, and the behaviour data behind them.
Shopify is the most common starting point for WorkDaddy, and the deepest integration. Once connected, Builder can edit templates and product pages, Analyst can join GA4 behaviour to actual order data, Visibility can rewrite metadata and structured data across the catalogue, and Retention can segment on purchase history rather than guesswork. Nothing is published without your approval rules being satisfied.
What the connection gives each agent
The Shopify connection is not a single feature — it is the substrate four of the five agents work on. Each one reads a different slice of it.
Builder: theme files, templates, product and collection page content
Analyst: orders, revenue by product, and checkout funnel behaviour
Visibility: product titles, descriptions, metafields, and structured data
Retention: purchase history, order frequency, and category affinity for segmentation
Draft-first by default
Changes are staged rather than published. Builder works on a draft theme or a branch, presents a diff, and publishes only after approval — or automatically for the change categories you have explicitly allowed. Every published change is logged with the reasoning behind it.
Catalogue-scale work
Editing one product page is easy. Keeping two thousand of them consistent — unique metadata, valid structured data, coherent internal linking — is where the agents earn their place. The Shopify connection is what makes that possible without exporting a spreadsheet and re-importing it.
How it works
Connect the store
Authorise WorkDaddy on your Shopify store. It indexes your catalogue, templates, and existing metadata.
Set approval rules
Choose which change categories can ship automatically and which require your review.
Give the team a goal
Point the agents at an outcome — conversion, organic traffic, repeat rate — and let them work the catalogue.
What you get
Theme and page changes shipped without a developer queue
Order data joined to behaviour data for real funnel analysis
Consistent metadata and structured data across the whole catalogue
Segments built on purchase history, not engagement guesses
Handled by these agents
Frequently asked questions
What permissions does WorkDaddy request?
Read access to products, collections, and orders, plus theme access for the Builder agent. You can connect with a reduced scope if you only want analysis and no page changes.
Does it work with Shopify Plus and headless setups?
Yes. On Plus, the same connection applies. For headless storefronts, Builder ships front-end changes through your repository while still reading catalogue and order data from Shopify.
Will it change my theme without asking?
Not unless you allow it. The default is draft-first with an explicit approval step, and you control which categories of change, if any, bypass review.
Is WorkDaddy a Shopify app?
WorkDaddy connects to Shopify through its API. Product names here describe interoperability — this is not a partnership or endorsement claim.
